combined with a recording of me messing around with beatboxing just now
I’m so excited about the impending arrival of my new keyboard that I decided to take on a slightly more ambitious cover than usual.
Enjoy this preview of next week’s Music Monday (or Tuesday, you know how it is) by playing a round of guess that song! First person to guess it gets to pick the cover I do the next week.
Ignore the clicking keys and the tiny fuck-up at the beginning and the headlessness and schlubby posture- I promise that’ll change once I get my new keyboard and have a stand and something to sit on that’s not my bed.
I sometimes wonder how I expect others to take me seriously when I can’t even manage to do it.
protip: turn your speakers down right around the bridge; it gets a little pitchy but I was too lazy to re-record it.
I make no apologies for this.

This week’s cover is one I’ve wanted to do for a while. I feel like the video quality is better than those I’ve posted in the past, but I still recommend you turn your volume down just a smidge. Enjoy!
Cover Music Mondays! wherein Angele covers a song Episode 4: “Break Even” by The Script See! I told you I’d bring it back. I also delivered on the promise of the return of the crappy webcam, so I recommend you keep the volume at half. I realize that at the end there it sounds like I said “ass box”. I didn’t. It’s “ask box”. For some reason this mic doesn’t pick up spoken hard “k” sounds very well. It’s okay, I giggled when I heard it, too.every on the occasional monday

Episode 3: “Be Be Your Love” by Rachel Yamagata
Yes, I’m aware it’s far from Monday. It was finals week, though, so as far as I’m concerned the past week has been one very long day, and I am therefore only a day late with this post.
Suck on that logic, Tumblr!
I also want to note that I still titled it cover music mondays, and I’m still at one video per week, so I feel I should earn points for consistency there.
Next week (or the week after) I will be fulfilling a request of my lovely friend Jamie G and covering “If Tonight Is My Last” by Laura Izibor. This is my not-so-subtle way of announcing that I happily accept requests.
EDIT: Okay, so the title last week was just “cover mondays,” but that’s not enough alliteration for me, so scratch the consistency thing.
#once again sacrificing my vanity as this is a very unflattering angle to film from- I should probably invest in a video camera or something
